busy busy busy
Häävalmistelut sujuvat melko vaivattomasti: puvut on hankittu, sormukset tilattu, ruoat päätetty. Victorian Lace Todaysta häähuivikseni valitsema Myrtle Leaf Shawl on jo puoliksi valmis. Tällä viikolla häihin on enää kuukausi aikaa, eikä jännitä! Tuntuu hyvältä.
Se toinen uutinen minkä mainitsin aiemmin on juhlapaikka. Vietämme häitä uudessa kodissamme: ostimme uuden asunnon ja muutamme pian (itseasiassa tänä viikonloppuna)! Ajatus häistä kotona oli minulta ensin puoliksi leikillään heitetty idea, mutta nyt tuntuu siltä ettei meille sopivampaa vaihtoehtoa olisi ollutkaan. Toivon vain, että koti saadaan juhlavaan kuntoon ajoissa juhlia varten.
Puuhakkaana ihmisenä aloitin tietenkin pakkaamisen jo kaksi viikkoa sitten. Viime viikonloppuna pakkasin vaatteet, jättäen ainoastaan viikon tarpeelliset jäljelle kaappeihin. Olin tietenkin myös pakannut häähuivia varten varaamani toisen lankavyyhden, jota sitten eilen iloisesti teippauksia purkaessani etsiskelin. Tästä syystä kamerakin on jossakin hyvässä tallessa...
Minäkö muka odotan muuttoa!
Our wedding arrangements are going along swimmingly: our clothes are ready, rings have been ordered and food has been decided. The Myrtle Leaf Shawl I'm knitting from Victorian Lace Today is halfway done. This week it'll only be one month until the day and I'm not nervous. This feels great.
The other news I mentioned has to do with where we'll celebrate. Our wedding reception will be held at our new home: We bought an apartment and are moving soon (this weekend in fact)! I suggested our new apartment for our reception half jokingly but now it feels like we couldn't have found a better alternative. I just hope we'll get the place into a festive shape in time.
I started packing two weeks ago. Last weekend I packed away all of our clothes, leaving only this week's necessities. And of course, I had packed away the other skein of yarn I needed for my wedding shawl and had a happy time last night finding it from all of the boxes labeled "YARN". Because of this our camera is somewhere as well.
Who says I'm excited to move!
